What is it used for?

This is an acid-reducing medicine that lowers the amount of stomach acid. It is used for heartburn, acid reflux, stomach ulcers, and irritation of the esophagus. It can also be used to reduce the risk of stomach irritation or ulcers during long-term use of certain pain medicines.
